The Vietnam Cricket Association (VCA) was established in 2006. Its aim
is to provide an umbrella administrative and organizing body responsible
for the management of expat cricket activities, both in Ho Chi Minh
City and across Vietnam
A League containing seven regular teams and over 100 competitors and a community of 500+, provides the foundation for cricket in Vietnam. Competing for the Dr. Laurie Haywood Memorial Trophy, teams have formed based on expat national status such as Australia, England, India, Pakistan & Sri Lanka. This union has provided a platform whereby cricket can be played and promoted throughout Vietnam.

All matches in HCMC are played at The Royal Melbourne Institute of
Technology, whose investment in playing facilities first paved the way
for the expansion of the game five years ago. Since then the VCA has
overseen a gradual expansion in cricketing activities. The number of
Clubs has grown from four to seven over this period, and additional
events such as 1-day Sixes tournaments and official tours have been
added to the playing calendar.
Charitable donations to organisations such as the Loreto Foundation and the Anh Linh Free Primary School reflect the desire the Association has to provide support to worthy causes in the Country and beyond, and we pledge to continue such efforts moving forward.
Teams from Vietnam represent the association on regional tours throughout the year. Individuals and businesses benefit from the contacts domestically and internationally.
